Aisle Types
Wide Aisle and Narrow Aisle lift trucks are classed due to the types of aisles they have been designed to operate in. These equipments could turn in an aisle, whilst Very Narrow Aisle trucks really don't turn in the aisle. There are several aisle widths to take into account with different models.
Very Narrow Aisle trucks could operate in less than 6 feet areas, while some would use particular guidance systems such as rail, wire or optical systems in order to travel in the aisles. Narrow Aisle trucks can work within aisles from 8 feet to 10 feet wide. Generally these are stand-up units like for example Reach Trucks. They are commonly utilized within storage facilities and warehouses.
Wide Aisle Standard forklifts fall into this truck category and are designed to work within aisles which are more than 11 feet wide.
Stand-Up Ergonomics
The stand-up ergonomics include "Ergomat" padding with a sloped floorboard that is made to lessen operator fatigue by absorbing vibration. The operator compartment is really large and has an 8" low step height that helps lessen overall body fatigue by easing frequent exit and entry.
