Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck providing great height and versatility. The crane, or arm, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the cargo to great heights. Regular forklifts aren't able to move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is required.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to use uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It comes with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed particularly to raise staff. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a chain or strap which is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
