The Combilift company was founded by two great engineers, Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett. Between them, they had over 40 years of engineering experience when they founded the company during 1998 within Monaghan, Ireland. In only more than a decade, Combilift became a leader in the long handling market all around the world, providing products to more than 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted global network of distributors which have helped expand distribution into many markets around the globe and using their extensive knowledge and experience, McVicar and Moffett have made equipment that are in high demand and had sold 10,000 units by mid 2009.
Below is a summary of a few of the Combilift units.
C-Series Combilifts are available in an array of mast options. Lift heights up to nine meters and lift capacities up to 25,000 kilograms are available. Engines are available in battery or electric, LPG or gas and diesel and the C-Series Combilifts could work within guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
The Combilift Straddle Carriers can lift fully loaded containers which could weigh up to 35 tons. These loads could be transported all around a work site or facility and the Combilift Straddle Carrier can raise fully loaded containers where required, whether it be from the ground to the trailer, from trailer to trailer or from the trailer to the ground. These kinds of equipment are an efficient, cost effective solution for numerous haulage, shipping, and distribution businesses, even those types with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series side-loaders are equipment capable of driving in four directions because of its multi-directional steering. This hydrostatic, all-wheel drive forklift can help companies in many ways, one of which is to enable facilities to have aisles that are narrower. It also enables the capability to bulk or block stack by driving forward. This extremely manoeuvrable truck is normally considered to be a better choice as opposed to many regular sit-down sideloaders due to the various additional features and capabilities.
