Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator a safe and efficient place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major analysis of operators' working conditions. The most important objective is to provide optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and large glass areas unobstructed to keep the field of vision clear. The instrumental panel is ergonomically designed and is gently rounded and really comfortable. This specific area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all essential information, in order to keep the operator functioning as effectively as possible.
Due to the insulated mounting to the chassis, overall noise levels and vibration levels are kept low. The controller's seat and the hydraulic controls are all independently adjustable that allows you to maintain an optimum working position. In addition, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 multi-functioned ergonomically positioned and simple to operate levers which are offered for the horn, window washers, gear changing and windscreen wipers.
A ventilation/heating unit guarantees a comfortable cab temperature for the operator. The incoming air is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machine has a robust 3-speed fan for defrosting, recirculation, heating and cooling. As an additional option, air conditioning could be fitted.
Instrumentation
In the Spirit Delta, the instrument panel has logically grouped units that are all within easy reach. Basic instrumentation includes: high coolant temperature, low brake pressure, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, warning lamps, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. Furthermore, gauges display values for operating time, fuel quantity, gearbox oil pressure and engine coolant.
Among the important options the 8 to 10 tonne trucks can be equipped with is the ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring. This enables for easy supervision of the model. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS or Electronic Control System and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any errors that happen and their current values.
