Rough terrain forklifts have been produced by CareLift Equipment, ever since the year 1962. Each day the company strives to help their consumers reach their goals and deliver value as they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
Boom lifts are available in 2 general types, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. These models are usually hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal option for tasks that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be raised vertically to below horizontal. Because the operator could steer and maneuver the vehicle while the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile equipment. These units are available in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift units carry out jobs that straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are almost identical to the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects in the work site.
In order to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Proper training is required before operating boom lifts so as to guarantee the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for tasks requiring many man power to be completed in a lot less time. These equipment have greatly increased production and have changed the material handling industry.
